Submitting a Story Suggestion 

Hometown Headlines welcomes the community to be involved by submitting press releases and story suggestions for the categories under Local News and Historic Highlights.

We primarily cover these counties: Wayne, Henry, Union, Fayette, Randolph, Preble & Darke.

What to Include in Your Submission: 

1. Submit press releases and suggested stories in MS Word format or pdf through the submission section below. Tell us the who, what, when, where, and why of your story idea. A clear summary helps our team quickly understand and assess the newsworthiness of your suggestion. 
    
2. Photos: Include a relevant photo to help illustrate your story in the form below. Photos should be horizontal / landscape, high resolution, and restricted to 20MB max. Cell phone pictures usually meet the needs.
   Photos MUST be in focus, and MUST be your photo (not copied from the internet.) We can not post photos that are copyrighted. We only publish licensed photographs. 
   If a photo is not submitted, or if the image does not meet the guidelines, we reserve the right to select a suitable image from our library or decline publication of the story. Hometown Headlines will not indemnify anyone against copyright violations
    
3. Do not send us “flyers.”

Keep in mind that not all submissions will result in a published story, but every idea is appreciated and reviewed by our news team.
